NAVAIR is looking for software engineers to work for the Department of the Navy at the Patuxent River MD Naval Air Station on software development, maintenance and acquisition of naval aircraft, weapons and supporting systems.

• All experience levels from new college graduates to senior team leads are desired.

•  Specific software engineering areas of interest are:
• Real Time Software
• Software Architecture, Software Architecture Patterns and Design Patterns
• Software Security, Software Assurance and Information Assurance
• Avionics and Embedded Systems Software
• Software and Systems Integration
• Software and Systems Test
• Software Process Improvement, SW-CMM, CMMI and TSP/PSP
• Software Acquisition Management
• Software Development and Acquisition support processes such as: Configuration Management, Requirements Management, Subcontractor Management, Quality Assurance, Estimation, Measurement/Metrics, Program Management, etc.

• Pay ranges from $30,386 - $121,967 depending on qualifications.

• Minimum Requirements are:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
• At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
• All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
